In 2014 Linda Rudnick decided to combine her love of tennis with her passion for fundraising for JDRF. She was fortunate to foster a five year partnership with Ed McQuillin at The Wilmington Country Club and Alex Hafer of Koons Lexus of Wilmington to have the event held on the grass courts of Wilmington Country Club and have a Corporate Sponsorship with Lexus. Linda asked 44 fellow tennis players to play that first year and it was the start of a fabulously successful and fun event.
On June 6th, Linda will host the fifth and final Ace for a Cure event. Her goal was to raise $125,000 total in the five years and to date she has raise $113,000. She has now pushed her goal to $150,000 in hopes that this final year will hit an Ace in exceeding her expectations.
Come join the fun for tennis or by making a contribution or by being a sponsor.
Many thanks to all that have been a part of this fun event.
