Ace for a Cure is a grass court tennis event like none other in Delaware. The round robin, doubles format tennis event is played on the beautiful grounds of Wilmington Country Club. Morning tennis is followed by a luncheon, raffle and awards for Flight winners. All levels of play are welcomed to attend and doubles players are divided into two levels: Flight A (4.0 and above) and Flight B (3.5 and below).
Since JDRF Delaware's first event in 2014, Ace for a Cure at Wilmington Country Club has raised more than $46,000 locally for type 1 diabetes
research. JDRF and the Ace for a Cure Committee look forward to welcoming our participants, sponsors and guests this summer for our third event on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 (rain date is Thursday, June 9, 2016).
Participants and sponsors can register online or contact JDRF Delaware at (302) 888-1117 or

exists for the millions of children, adults, and families affected by
type 1 diabetes (T1D) every single day. Their determination to overcome
this disease strengthens ours to end it by funding life-changing T1D
an autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas loses the ability to
produce insulin — a hormone essential to turning food into energy. It
strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and
lifestyle. It requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose
testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.
participation in JDRF events ensures that JDRF can continue funding
critical T1D research. With your support, this research will continue to
bring us closer to a world without T1D.
