THANK YOU SPONSORS!

Fund A Cure is an opportunity to make an impact on the lives of people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) through a 100% tax-deductible donation toward JDRF’s mission. Fund A Cure donations help to continue the promise that JDRF and so many others have made to their loved ones with T1D…a promise to raise funds and invest those funds wisely in research until there is a cure.

On September 1, 2015 I joined the JDRF Delaware staff. My first adult job out of sports working for a non-profit raising funds for a disease I knew very little about. In my year an a half with JDRF I learned so much, grew a lot and made life-long friends.

I'm challenging myself to raise funds and run in honor of one of my best friends Kimmie Shoe <3. She is a warrior everyday conquering the challenge of T1D and marathon running. She is my inspiration.

Here's the deal... I've already raised $260 through my JDRF Your Way Page...now you can help me add to it!:

If I raise $301-$500 = I run a 10K

If I raise $501-$900 = I run a half marathon

If I raise $901+ = I run a full marathon

I’m fundraising for JDRF because I believe in their vision of a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).

With T1D, a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. The daily life of someone with T1D brings a multitude of challenges, including insulin injections  that need to be carefully balanced with eating and activity, disruptive glucose monitoring, sleepless nights—and   wishing for a tomorrow where this struggle doesn’t exist.

Thank you all!

Natalie
